ive replaced the brake shoes on my truck a couple times before and i know i know which way the shoes face but for some reason im having a brain fart and cant remember. which way do they face?

these are rear 10 bolt drum brakes

short shoe towards the front, long shoe towards the back. Pretty certain thats the way it should be.
Look at the other side. I never disassemble both sides of a drum brake system at the same time. One at a time, that way you can use the other for reference while puting one back together. Way better than any shop manual can ever be.

well my plan was to do one side at a time i couldnt put on side back together because i needed parts so i tore down the other side and had my brain fart.

my rears never worked on my 10 bolt anyways.... but I believe sled dog is correct

hey resurrected jimmy are you really from clear lake? we should go wheelin sometime when you get back and my junk is wheelable. and speaking of wheeling i dont know where there is anywhere to wheel in the area.
