brake calipers front autozone are about 15 bucks a piece. i'd say he got screwed really well.

If he had it done at a dealership, then that sounds about right. They charge premium prices for parts, then a bunch for labor, then lots of little stuff gets tacked on too. Things like $5 for 3 ounces of brake fluid, $4 for "supplies", a $3 shop fee, etc. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I'm sure glad that I know how to fix my own stuff! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Really, I replaced my calipers and pads a while back with what's called "loaded calipers." And it was about $100 before getting the core charge back (I think like $15 per caliper).

are you sure they just REPLACED the calipers, or did they replace other things, like rotors, wheel bearings, but god damn that is why i like to do things on my own, but damn!
btw; are "Loaded" calipers from autozone any good?

I just figured it delete the whole thread... since i got my answer. Yeah well, it was about me but I didnt get the work done, I was just getting quotes from different places... one place quoted me 325... one place quoted me 100, and one guy quoted me a few MGD's lol.
Can't go wrong with the MGD's especially if you get to help drink them, too! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
