I'm trying to bleed my rear discs.
Fluid is going all the way to the caliper but the calipers aren't getting any fluid....
Calipers are new, brake lines are new.
The bleed screw won't throw anything out. Air or fluid...
I'm stumped on this one.

crack open the bleeder
fill master cylinder
drink beer
when the caliper starts to drip fluid, have a friend push the pedal slowly to the floor, and hold it. tighten the bleeder down, and refill master, do the same for the LR, and recheck master, then bleed conventionally, farthest from master to closest to master.

do you have a proportioning valve? they can air lock, and you need to loosen the lines at it, and smack it with a wrench to pop the air bubbles

I don't have a proportioning valve. I cracked the bleeder screws and a beer.
Just waiting on a miracle now.

There were plastic protectors on there. They were removed before I but the brake lines on.

I've taken the bleeders all the way out. It's completely dry in there...no sign of fluid. This evening I'm going to take the lines and put compressed air through them to see if I can get air going through them at least.

i wouldn't introduce air into that system.

if you take the bleeders off, and have someone slowly press the pedal all the way to the floor, what happens?

also, look into a one man brake bleeder

You got the truck running? I always find it easier when its running.

Sure sounds like a plug got left in somewhere. Have someone press on the pedal and start cracking fittings until you find fluid. The problem will be between there and the last place you looked.
Well, you say you are getting fluid to the calipers, I'm guessing by that that you get fluid when you loosen the line at the calipers.
If so, take the line off the caliper, and look up inside the hole.
Gotta be something in there.

I found the problem. The calipers were getting fluid the whole time however, the bleed screw passages were completely blocked. On both calipers!? WTF? I took them off, got the piston out, and saw there was some green/blue stuff inside the holes. almost looked like rtv. I took a tiny drill bit and cleared the passages out, cleaned the calipers, installed the pistons then put them back on the truck. I then gravity bled them for a while and finally traditional bleed.

Went for a test drive and the "Cat" stops great!

Thanks everyone for the help/input. It did help!

Here is a picture of where the bleeder passage is, and the gunk thats in there.

Neither have I. Hope to never deal with it again. I guess I will be taking the bleeder screws out when I buy calipers and looking to see if there is something blocking the way.
