Long story here.............

I wanted to replace my rubber hoses with SS lines. easy enuff, so youd think. The fronts went fine, got the old ones off no drama and the new ones went on just fine, the lines bleed fine and all that.

On to the back line..........

I really thought about not changing this one, but figured since the part was already paid for id replace the one rubber line by the gastank with the SS one. I had major issues getting the nut loose from the distribution block in the back, mainly the pass side line. I ended up tear up the nut pretty bad, vice grips will do that. I got the hard line off the rubber pretty easily. Once I got everything apart, I put the SS line on. The main hardline going to the SS line went on fine, But when I put the individual hardlines from each brakes in, I couldnt get it to seal up. The pass. side (the side I had issues with) wouldnt seal up and seaped out from around the nut. So, being pissed at this point, I jus decided to put the rubber factory back on.

Well , I got the factory one back on, no leaks that I could tell. But the brakes wouldnt bleed. When Id take the bleed screw off the back pass. side, nothing really came out. We tried manual pumping the brakes and tried bleeding them, got nothing. But now, I barely have ANY brakes, itll stop, but the peddle drops almost completely to the floor and ive got my Low Pressure Warning light for the brakes is on, on the dash (parking brake light is also low press. warning - incase anyone didnt know, lol).

So, now Im not sure what to do. Could I have gotten some debris in the old line. Something else. When I was monkeying with the rear line the Mastercylinder for the rear brakes got ran low, pretty much dry. COuld there jus be ALOT of air still in the line?

Any help, suggestions , comments are greatly appreciated.

yup, you've got a ton of air in the back, and i'd bet that line is still leaking too, adding to the issue...

You've hurt that hardline coming over from the wheel cylinder.. Your gonna have the same issue with the old dizzy block as you where with the new...

put the new line in, replace that bad hardline and bleed the h*ll out of em...

Ryoken - did front brakes this morn...

yup, fubared that inverted flare up... I use my MityVac to bleed...

On a similar, yet bizarely different high pressure note, I've had to "dress up" at least a 1/2 dozen bad diesel injection lines this year to get em out the door... :wink1:

Boy, things do go in cycles.. one year fuel tanks, the next, terlets... :doah:
