Brake Light - ABS Check

Hi - just bought a 90 GMC Jimmy...brake light just came on..I checked the fluid and it's fine...I figure it's the ABS..how do you check the ABS Module?

ABS module will blink the light, not leave it solid.

Brake light comes on with one of two things:

There is or was a fluid pressure difference between front and rear. Push the reset button on the combination valve (on the crossmember, usually under a rubber nib). Yes, checking fluid level is important, but so is checking the calipers, hoses, and wheel cylinders for leakage. And while you're in the back, clean and check the adjusters. They need it.

The parking brake lever is down, or is perceived to be down. Check wiring and the switch.
