Brake lights

Hey i need some help for some reason my tail lights work fine but when i hit the brakes my right brake light goes black and the left turns on.

what do you guys think it could be?

most likely the brake element of the bulb on the right side is toast. The "light" element goes out when the brake element is on. Does the turn signal on the right side work (also uses the brake element)

no i need to check that out.

so is that an easy fix ?

do i just buy new bulbs?
