brake lines help

i need help.
where can i get extended brakelines for my 85 for a 4in lift.
were exactlycan i get them i cant find em on central4wd.
i needsome help, thanks

it's a lot cheaper to extend them yourself, especially if you only have 4" lift. i'm not sure of your articulation, but it is easy, safe and affordable to buy hard brake line and exten it out on a bracket to which the soft flex hose meets up with. i did it and it took 4 bolts two 8" pieces of brake hose, and diamond plate angle iron.

Drop coopertwpk a pm he sels some pretty trick looking brake lines. I am pondering selling my 6" set to go with a custom length set from him.

I'm running skyjacker hoses. You should be able to get hoses from just about any reputable 4x4 company.

yes i ordered the ones from summit
the pro comp.
is it much harder than just disconnecting the old hoses and putting on new ones?

I have a similar situation here too. I have a 3" lift, so the hoses on there should be fine if I don't do any extreme off-roading. I looked at them yesterday, and it looks like I could heat up the bracket, and bend it down a little to gain some more length...anyone do this?

I read a while back in a mag that NAPA PN 38872, are longer stock-type lines. Anyone tried this?

I work for NAPA and when I put my 4" lift on I went through the books and there were none long enough. I took the length of factory hose and thread size for ends and found nothing close. I will check that # out later this week and see if it is longer and by how much.

Just change the hoses and washers if it has them. Don't forget to bleed the brakes afterward. Good luck

I just went down to NAPA and checked into the 38872. I put one up against a stock type and these are 4-5" longer. They have similiar fittings and don't have the steel part like on the original. Looks like they will work great and get this.......less than 14 bucks a piece!!! So I picked up a couple for my truck along with 447 and 348 U-joints

for my 14FF swap.
