One of the rubber brake lines on my '85 appears to be stopped up pretty bad. I still have the original length lines spaced down with those cheesy little thin metal straps. I don't really want to spend the money right now to get stainless lines. I remember a while back someone on here said something about being able to use stock length brake lines from an '88-'98 two wheel drive Chevy on the earlier model trucks because they had the same fittings and they were 4" or 6" longer than the ones that came on the '73-'87s. Does anyone know if this is true, or am I remembering wrong?

There is a post in the tech articles section called "Post your part numbers". But this I believe is the info your looking for.

Extended brake hoses that are 25 7/8" long will fit 10bolt from 89-2000 2wd chevy/gmc from right front but will work for both sides and can be modified to fit a D44.
