i ordered my diy4x disk brake brackets and upon looking at calipers and rotors ran into a few questions:

on the calipers 1 set says ''With JB6, JD6 brake system''

another set says ''With JB7,JD7 brake system''

whats the difference here, i'll be going w/hydro brakes...

and on the calipers it says: ''Does not include center hub assembled with wheel studs Replacement requires pressing center hub out and back into the new disc''....i thought these rotors where 1 piece....i looked up '86 k20 parts, would that have anything to do w/it?

edit: ok looking up '76 k20 parts the calipers say nothing about jb or jd parts, but rotors still say have to press out/in center hub....?

also looks like this is cheaper than buying individual parts if pads are included in this

also i have no k20 cores, are k10's the same, i would have a set of those for cores(i looked it up...same part #'s)...thanks

I bet that 3/4 ton rotors are tied to the hub via pressed wheel studs. They're basically telling you that all they are giving you is the rotor, you have to press the wheel studs out of the hub/rotor and reuse the hub.

1/2 ton rotors (at least on K5's) aren't really tied down by anything which means all you have to do to get the rotor off is remove the wheel and then the caliper.

Every 3/4 and 1 ton truck I've ever dealt with had the rotor and hub connected together (i.e. the wheel studs keep the rotor and hub connected together so that if you want to replace the rotor you have to press the 8 wheel struds out).
