ok i just replaced all new rotors calipers and pads in the front of my 87 k10 4x4 with 10 bolts. the brake pedal still went down far so i bleed both front wheels so there was no air in the system. its still squishy and i havent looked at the back brakes yet, what should i do?

There may be air in the rear brake lines. Start by bleeding brakes farthest from master cylinder to closest. The best way to bleed that I found is a pressure bleeder.

Nope, there is a wheel cylinder on the rear wheel that you bleed. It's right where the brake line goes into the backing plate. You'll see a bleeder valve there just like you see on the front.

ok cool how hard is it to replace shoes and springs i did all the front brakes my self with no help but havent done drum brakes yet

Lots of little springs and levers that you need to keep track of. Not hard just frustrating. There's a special tool that'll make life easier for you but I forget the name of it. After you take the drum off just take pics of everything so you know how it goes back together. Or you could use the other side as a reference. You can do it, it's not that hard.

yea ill start by bleeding the rear brakes and if it doesent do the trick ill replace shoes and springs

like i said CHECK THE REAR ADJUSTMENT ALSO

you can blead all you want if no air then the out of adjusment brakes will give you a low pedal .

yeah. at the bottom is a little round bar with a toothed wheel. thats your adjustment. rotate the wheel to spread the pads a bit until they are snug on the drum. shouldnt be loose and not too tight but just enough that you have to give it a few light taps with a hammer to get it to slide back on.

possible bad master then .

or locked up non functioning brake dist/restrictor valve on front cross member in front of engine.

How did you bleed the brakes and did you start from the farthest from the master cylinder and work your way to the closest?
And for future reference, it might be a good idea to start a new thread with your specific problem, what diagnoses you've done to it and what kind of setup you have.
