brake problems

i was wondering if any one could help me in figuring out the problem with my friends k5, after sitting for a few days he moved it and the brakes worked fine, we drive it yesterday and the brake pedal is hard to push and the brakes arent very respondent.

A hard pedal and no brakes sounds like a booster issue. Could be a rodent damaged vacume line from the booster to the intake or a ruptured diaphram in the booster itself.
