Hey guys, I'm looking to swap dually one tons under my K5, and I know for the most part its a bolt in swap, save moving perches/shock tabs in rear. The one thing I know DOES change is the brake lines/cylinder for the bigger brakes. However I've read a few conflicting things about that.

What exactly do I need to change to get the lines to work? All new brake lines for a 1 ton and a 1 ton master cylinder? Thanks

UPDATE: I'm pretty sure hard lines can be kept, and only the rubber lines from hard lines to axle need to be changed. That and a 1 ton master cylinder

if you have a 80's up vehicle and use 80's up 60 calipers the banjo bolt will work on same lines .

rear line still same size 3/16 to each axle and the 1/4" inlet on frame .

hard lines the same .

me if you can swap the master AND brake booster AKA hydro boost unit WITH the pedal assembly from under the dash . gets you a lot better brakes over the vac booster unit .

if you get the hydro boost unit get the 3 lines and p/s pump . steering box is the same .

if you need new brake hoses just toss on a set of these . http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/braidedbrakelines.htm

nice to see a localish guy . I am down the road in horseheads from you .

Thanks dude!

Close enough to feel my pain when it comes to rust...

Right now I'm looking for donor axles and its hard to find ones that haven't been turned to shale....
