This is my first post but I have been digging through the wealth of knowledge on this site. Good stuff here.

Anyway, my 91' blazer has the ever popular brake warning light on when it reaches 35 mph. I was planning to adjust or replace the switch, however, my problem seems to have blossomed. I believe my problem may be related to the speed sensor or something like this.

Until today, transmission seemed to shift up and down smoothly, with the exception of downshifting to 1st was a little "rough." This morning, something went funky and now it shifts erratically. Basically if shifts quickly up through the gears and then hesitates on the down shifts.

Oddly enough, my brake warning light no longer comes on. Could these two problems be one in the same? If so, does anyone know the fix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
