The lift is on a friends truck after a long weekend of fighting rust.
Now, what length brakelines should he get?Any part #'s? Applications?
Front and rear 10 bolts on an '85 short bed.

im guessing your talking about the soft lines, i used normal 2wd lines, they are long enough for my 6" lift, flexed out with a forklift, they're no where near tight....the rear,i forgot what i did, hope this helps.

Are you talking 2wd stock style front rubber lines? I'll check into that.Thank You.

ya, the stock 2wd front brake lines are what i use. just save a little money over the stainless steel. for us...not so rich guys:D

so, the stock 2wd lines are longer than the 4wd? interesting. as long as the fittings are the same, i may go that way on my 4" lift, then.

ya,all the fittings are the same, except, at the bracket where the hardline and soft line meet/clip into the bracket, it wont clip in, the lines will meet right at the bracket but they will be loose running through the bracket, you might be able to find a way to make it clip in.

cool. i'll just bolt it in place. drilling straight through the middle of the brake line will probably provide the strongest hold. :haha:

I didn't know that either.I measure the 4x4 lines at roughly 18" and the 2wd lines are 22 3/4" and $19.93ea. at Parts Plus.

As far as the loose fit is concerned, stay tuned. I'll figure something out.
