so i just got 454 installed and i noticed that my rear main is leaking ... what is the easiest way to change it .. id rather not pull the 454 out again but is their a way to do it without pulling the whole thing out? i need help asap so i can drive this thing halloween

I dont know what gen of big block you have but it should have a two piece rear main seal. drop then oil pan, take off the rear main bearing cap, change out the seal then put everything back together. its fairly well described in chilton's and haynes manuals.

sweet .. thats what i was thinking ... its a 2 peice ive been wrenching getting teh 454 installed all last week after work so i kind of wanted a break from it but it shouldnt be that bad then .. how long does it take usually?
