So I'm pulling my new trailer home, the right side front tire locks up on braking, and won't let go. The left did the same but it would unlock when the pedal was released. I stop it, try backing up, had to unplug the wiring to get it to release. Nice flat spot on the tire now
.
I call the place I bought it from and he says to bring it in. I get a call from him, and he said his truck does the same thing but he could get it to release by backing up
. that don't do me much good. He calls the trailer manufacturer, and he says bring it down and they'll replace whatever it needs. they put a new axle and tire on it, and give me a spare/wheel combo for manuf. cost. I take off and it still wants to lock up, but not as bad. He says I got a controller problem???? I've only towed with this truck and had 5000+ lbs while towing, and had no lockups, but those were a travel trailer 6-7Klbs, and my car hauler loaded 5-6klbs, and that one only has single axle brakes.
So even turning the dial all the way down they still want to skid if I do anything more than lightly touch the pedal. Can I check the voltage and make a detemination on what it should have to operate correctly?
