Brakes

I was cleaning out my rear drum brakes and noticed small cracks/fractures on the pads. Is this a sign of overheating? Should they be replaced? Is this something to be concerned about?

Not sure about the overheating, but yes you need to replace them. And check them periodically to make sure it wasn't just a bad set of pads.
