Brand New Lift Pump Not Pumping Fuel!?!?!

I have a brand new lift pump that doesn't seem to be sucking the fuel from the tank. I don't know what the problem is. The filter on the firewall is in between the tank and lift pump correct? Any suggestions or answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Filter is between lift pump and injection pump.
There's no filter before the lift pump on 6.2l (except maybe a sock in the tank).

I have to ask why you replaced your lift pump in the first place ? Same problem no fuel to the pump ? Did you put your finger over the input opening of the pump and have someone trun the engine over and feel for suction ? If there is suction then somewhere between there and the tank is the problem . Theres just a sock in the fuel tank . Another thing is how much fuel is the tank ? Maybe the sock isn't down in the fuel .
