Breaking u-joints

i have a 6inch suspesion lift on an 83 i hav e gone through 3 u-joints do i need to lower the cross member,how much,whats to use?

You need to make sure your angles of operation are ok. Then you need to droop the axle down and check for binding of the ujoint. If you bind a ujoint you will most likley break the ujoint. You are binding one somewhere or somehow.

It is usually to much operation angle, to much angle during droop, or axlewrap.
