One step forward, 10 steps back.

The previous owner of my K5 had installed a mechanical oil pressure gauge because the electric gauge stopped working. After some trouble shooting, I found that the oil pressure sending unit (the one by the oil filter) was faulty so I installed a new one, and the electric gauge now works fine.

To clean up the cab a bit, I removed the mechanical oil pressure gauge since it is no longer needed. When I was removing the gauge oil pressure line that screws into the oil pressure sensor (top of the block by distributor), the entire brass hard line broke off flush with the block. Pics are attached.

What's going to be the easiest way to get the rest of the fitting out of the hole in the block? Also, I'm assuming the brass line was not OEM (I could be wrong), so how is the sensor supposed to screw into the block?

Dont know exactly what your setup used, but it was generally always a brass adapter of some sort used to get the sensor/switch mated to the block.

Most of the brass pieces I've seen are one piece, and have a 45 or 90* location for the switch/sender to screw in. If a setup that used both an oil pressure switch and gauge sender, they'd have two ports, or a tee.

Just to add my 2 cents but these square style extractors work awesome for broken pipe fittings and such.
