I put a full floater under my trailor without the carrier, I have some good axles, but if any one has some broken ones, that way I could just use the part that bolts to the hub, So I don't have the shaft spining inside.

I just went and looked, and I think as long as i fill it up with the pinion a little high, I can get enough fluid in to go down the axle tubes.

you could pack the bearings w/ grease, like we do frt hubs. Then you wouldn't be wasting all thet oil ($$$) & you wouldn't have to worry about it.

Have Kert make you some covers for the hubs and the pinion support housing. I have some for a bare 14FF housing I have for a trailer convert. I think the 3 plates cost me like $25 or so. This way you don't have to scrap the shafts or the pinion support. Resell those parts or keep them as spares.

OOOH I just had an idea , straight tube , perches , welded on ends , 14bff hubs , hole for oil fill and drain . Would do away with the whole 14bff :thumb:
