Broken Gas Gauge

My Gas Gauge on my 80 Jimmy is broken, the orange marker is sitting at about 4 oclock on the right side of the gauge. Is there any way I can reset the gauge?

Your gauge should be fine, more than likely you got a wire disconected near your gas tank or along the frame someplace. There is no reset.

on my 86, one of the clips in the cluster broke loose, causing a bad connection...it would work intermittently....I took it apart, rtv'd the clip in place and it fixed it.

Mine was in the same area had to replace the sending unit works fine now.

probably just a bad ground on the sending unit at the tank. Pull it and clean it up and reseat it and see if it reads right.
