I managed to break the input socket on my hydroboost unit. The rod functions normally but can now fall out if the pedal is pulled toward the driver. Not ok for a safety-of-life thing.

What are my options for repairing this? Anybody have a parts diagram for a hydroboost unit? It's not something I find in my Chilton or Haynes manuals.

Yes, it does remove from the inside. The unit needs to come off. Here is an exploded view: (I have the other pages of this document too if you want them)

The part you broke is on the end of the "input rod and piston assembly"...it's one piece. It should swap with a similar unit, but it won't be in a rebuild kit. I know the spool assembly and housing are a matched set, but I'm not sure about the big piston...but I would think you could swap them. Here is another pic of one I have: The part you broke is left of those o-rings.

It may be easier to find a whole one from a yard and rebuild it.

Thanks, that's exactly what I'm looking for.
