I see them mentioned frequently, but does anyone have any pictures of their Blazer with a Bronco Bob roll cage installed?

just sayin I've been here for ion's, and I never remember hearing anyone in this forum mention the company.. interesting... maybe it's a common company over at Pirate or something..

stuff don't look horrible... do it up... or have oodles of fun and buy a bender and tube and make it yours...

Yep im Running a Bronco Bob Cage - he has several option for our first gens.

I took his stock Cadd drawings for the 8 pt and modified them to my liking just a hair - and it was nice that they were so willing to work with me on it.

Price was better than anything else I could find at the time. Welding it together yourself lets you get a real custom tight fit, without the need to do any bending.

I would def put my vote in for a great way to cage it up.

On your bronco bob link above - the second to last rig in pics is a first gen blazer I think (Has green interior)

how much do you have into the cage pictured here? do you have it tied to the frame at all or just bolted to the body?

Bringing up an old thread here, anyone have any pictures of a Bronco Bob cage on their 1/2 cab k5? Preferably with the top off. I just found out about him and he is only a 30 minute drive away from where I live.

Mine is from them. I will try to post some images tomorrow from my desktop at work but I didn't do a normal bar I did a double behind the front seats with one down on each side.
Sad thing is I dont love the look so much but its what I have for now. I was really surprised I liked it better with no bar. PG

That cage looks like it would fold pretty easy.
Everything is a compromise. Will it hold up to a large fall or high speed roll over? Probably not, but it will certainly help in a low speed flop. We drive convertibles. We've already decided that we are willing to compromise safety for the open air feel of running without a top on our vehicles. How much you are willing to close that top back in in the name of safety is a decision we all have to make based on what we plan on doing with our blazers.

That cage needs 2 more roof bars one corner to corner in the front and one corner to corner in the back section.

No triangles. Only rectangles. Floppy cage. Solid starting point though

Here is mine.
I am thinking of covering the double bar with one padded wrap somehow not sure how but that is on my mind.
Like I said I didnt like it looks wise like I thought I would anyway. PG

Hmmmm, I see your point on the double bar. It's not "bad", but I agree a single would have looked better. I guess you could always cut the front bar off if it bothered you that much.

This is my donor Blazer. Nose dive at about 5 mph.
Notice it has some triangulation, not much but some.

And to answer your question I will put enough tube in mine to keep my passengers and myself alive in a roll over.

fair enough. I'm not trying to suggest that the cage without trangulation is good enough for any serious wheeling. I only have a roll bar in mine because I like it nice and open, but because of that there is only so far I will push things off road. If I decide to push it harder I'll put in more protection.
