I'm looking to take my bench seat out if my 82 k2500 I have no clue what seats would fit if you guys have any input it would be much appreciated? Would maybe blazer seats work? If so would I need to make brackets or would they bolt to my original ones?

search in the garage section . covered a lot more in there in the past.

and blazer seat brackets diffrent shape floor pan than truck cab .

closer bracket is the suburbans with little mod in the back real easy . need the inner front floor brake/mount tho thats spot welded to the floor for them .

i have some pics of how i have done buckets in the past using stock bench seat brackets to start with .

and some have said 99-up style seats and brackets are fairly easy to bolt/modify in .

welcome to the site :thumb:

I have Blazer buckets and console in mine, Suburban brackets welded to the floor in the front. I didn't build it so don't know the details but could snap some pics for you.

About 5 years ago I swapped out the front bench in my K10 for a set of 1989 Suburban buckets and center console. If I recall correctly, I used the outer seat brackets from the bench seat and the inner brackets from the donor Suburban. To mount the inner seat brackets to the floor I found an old Hi-Lift jack bracket that was lying around the garage that I cut in half and used each half to make the inner forward bracket for both sides. The Hi-lift bracket worked out perfect for my skinny ass but, I don’t think it would be very difficult to take a cordless drill to the bone yard and drill out the spot welds on the inner seat brackets from an actual Suburban to reuse on a truck.

Buckets with a console was a factory option in a regular cabs, my 1980 came like this. The seats in a blazer are identical and bolt up, but the brackets are much different because of the hump in the floor for the gas tanks. You will also need the bracket for the forward inboard mounting point of each seat, only the factory trucks got this as far as I know. Also the passenger seat is solid, it has no adjustment, it just sits as far back as possible.
