Hi, what should i be looking for to swap bucket seats in place of the front bench in my '85 sub. Are there certain years that make an easy swap?

I believe they all use the same mounting points. Just find a set you like from the junkyard or other source. You would also need to fab some seat belt hardware.

the 3 bodys use diffrent mounts. but pickup/burban are easyest to flip flop with minimal mods to fit. best to find burban mounts and dont forget the inner mount on the floor pan. its welded to the pan. need it. but the seats them selves are all unbolt and bolt to the mounts.

pic of pickup mounts and the inner mount on the floor pan.

Want to put bucket seats in my K10

Id also like to put bucket seats in my 85 chevy k10. i was thinking about finding a set of blazer buckets and adapting them to fit or find a newer model truck with electric seats and center console. any ideas?i manage a small welding shop and also im taking machine tool in school so i can fabricate my own mounting brackets if i have to. a guy at my work has a yoda he put celica seats in and made a wooden center console so if i cant find buckets with a center console i might just get him to build me one. what yall think?
