hey can you pm me the cost on that bumper of yours if you dont want to post it on here? im interested in the same setup and if the price is right im gonna see if kert will build me one also.

heh heh i had to drag that pic out of kert because its on a mock up blazer with tiny wheels and tires ect ect .. so its the only one i have till its finished

Since im doin a complete frame off rebuild i wasnt in a rush to get it done so i wont get it till the rear one hes building now is finished

price on the front was 750 it has a hidden mount for a warn 12k lb winch and will have a light bar on it when its finished but who knows as the price of steel fluctuates if that price would hold or not but should be close at the very least give him a call im sure he could build you whatever you want

I have to admit im kinda like a kid before xmas anticipating what these beefcake bumpers will look like painted and installed :p but im probably at least 3 weeks away form needing them if i stay on schedule which hasnt happened yet i always run into some snag but i have a build thread goin ill be sure to update the thread as i make progress!

1981+ trucks have different bumpers than 73-80's, so I'm gonna say no, it won't bolt up. And, as mentioned, it costs a helluva lot more than it should.

Im interested in the price as well, what kind of light bar is attached, and what kind of finish is that bumper? can ya send us some more details if ya dont mind?

The bumper is just sanded out with a flapper disc, raw steel. The light bar will be attached to the two long triangles you see that form the angle on the front of the bumper. The tube will come up a little bit, go straight across from there, and then drop back to the other side.

Believe me, If Kert can fabricate one like the one at Buckstop that I'm looking at.....I'd MUCH rather him do it.

I really like the style of the Buckstop one, and I really dont want to pay as much as they're asking. I guess when I get home from Iraq I have to give him a call.

I appreciate the responses, I, like most of the people on here, like to do a bunch of research before I get involved in anything. It's saved me alot of grief and truck downtime.

If there are any other manufacturers (Kert is probably going to get 1st shot) that can make something like this, that WILL(without a doubt) fit my '76. Please post up.

Thanks again,

I actually ordered one for my 89 from Buckstop, but after the original waiting period for delivery, I was told it would be another 8-12 weeks. Total of 5-6 mos. of waiting. I ended up cancelling my order and went with a tube from Blazen Off Road and am very happy with their product fit and finish. Doing business with Jesse was easy and painless and never had a problem getting in touch with him during the whole order and delivery process! Dealing with Buckstop was also easy, but I ran out of patience!

I've talked with Jesse on the phone, and for sure am ordering the rear winch bumper w/ the tire carrier. I think that's probably the most well-designed setup I've seen yet.

For some reason, I can't seem to draw myself away from the looks of the Buckstop front though. Other companies make great bumpers, but it never seems like any of the really cool ones are made for my year.

Jesse's fron HD winch bumper is pretty cool, but I kinda want something bigger.

Cheyenne,

Thanks for your service to your country. Is this your first tour?

I bought a Buckstop bumper for my '02 F-350 about two months ago. I was/am very impressed with the quality of the bumper. Buckstop's customer service was excellent as well.

I like their designs the best, and they are, in one word, massive.
