any downside to building the "core" of the chassis out of square tubing? then doing the engine cradle and roll cage in DOM?

basicly a truggy without starting with a truck.

For the most part, no. NASCAR is my guide when it comes to rollcages, and that's what they use as their base for their chassis.

thats a sweet design. I wanna try and get 90* aproach and departure angles. basicly like he has witrh the 2 seats and a tool box.
