I don't even want to go and look at my truck tonight. I swear I have worked on it 5-6 days a week for the last 6 months. I just don't know how to get motivated. Maybe bolting on the 42's and taking some pics to look at every day would get me more excited about it.

We have a big run planned in August to Gilbert OHV park and I want this to be done. I had the thing 99% done and decide to 4 link the rear. WTF was I thinking....I think I'll cut the roof off tonight and make it a convertable for giggles. Anyone want to see some pics?

Pics are always welcome imo.

My blazers been sitting almost a month and all ive done to it is move the front spring shackle mount. Started out tranny blew up, so instead of gearing 10b's, i was gonna get a 14b and 3/4ton it. Well, then i started researching, and im now going 1ton. My only hold back is money...

I know how you feel. In january I broke my windshield which pretty much took out the a-pillar. Tcase fell out of the rig due to too short of bolts. And the tranny went cuz it lost the fuild due to the tcase falling out.

So instead of just rebuilding the tranny and not running a windshield I add a bunch of stuff to my list.
1. cut up and remove blazer body and install 70 truck cab.
2. narrow front clip
3. rebuild tranny
4. buy and install doubler
5. replace motor mounts
6. tube out front, inside, and bed

That basic idea lead to a lot more.

7. convert rear to disc
8. add power steering cooler
9. add tranny cooler with fan
10. get some rock lights
11. theres more that I just cant think of

Then my DD/tow rig broke down. Worked on that for a month and I just need to get the rig done so that I can go play. The best thing that I can say is take a break from working on it. Maybe go wheeling as a co-pilot and then you will be movoated again. August is a ways away. I have 4 days to get mine running so that I can take it out on a test run.

hey be glad you can put time into it.. I spent some time on my truck for a while and I got a **** load of complaints from the wife.... hell I just put a cb antennea on the truck and heard about it.. how I need to spend more time with the family :doah:

PREGGO HORMONES KICKIN IN!!!! :haha:

Got the lower links all dialed in and almost done, just need to notch the tube to fit the bushings at the axle end. Doing the upper's tonight. Decided not to put the big tires on or cut the top, must stay focused! Photos tonight.

I should have the bender done next week as I am still getting hydro parts ordered. My intentions are to tube the front and make a tube bed. The air shocks will attach to either the tube I have on the back now or I might attach them to the tube bed somewhere.

Keep truckin man and just think about the sweet action shots youll be able to post when you get home from the trails.

looking good brent. when are you planning on taking it out for it's shake down run? i hope to have most of mine done in the next 2 weeks.

It has been a complete, start from scrach project. I really didn't want it to be. It was going to be my econo wheeler and I was planning on doing small upgrades a little at a time. But after a new motor, trans, doubler that kinda wend out the door.

I should have the rear 4 link done this weekend. I need to get my argon tank refilled and buy some all thread but other than that the last few pieces came in yesterday from Polyperformance to finish the lower links. I will get some pics with everything done and the shocks installed

I am using the 2" sway a way air shocks in the rear.

The lower control arms are 1 3/4" DOM with .375 wall and the uppers are 1.5" DOM with .25 wall

Sweet looking truck, I love it. Im thinking of order a cage kit for my truck I was thinking the one from S&W race cars or Jegs. It looks like in this pic that the tube doesn't come pre notched is that true?

i just had my S&W 10 point cage welded up today. it was mostly notched and the 8 point fit good, but the halo and a pillar bars sucked. if i were to do it over i would order the 8 point, make the a pillar hoop and use spreader bars to tie it in to the rest of the cage.
