Well, I didn't quite get finished like I'd hoped, but I got close, and I took pics along the way. It's my first big fabrication project  , so overall I think I did pretty good for a day and a half's work.

It's heavy as hell, but I don't think it'll bend :D ! The winch box is 1/2"and 1/4" plate, the bottom bars are 2" 1/4 wall CDST, the prerunner is 2" 1/8 wall, and the bars over the headlights are 1.5" 1/8 wall. I've still got to bust out the plasma cutter and make some 1/4" plate gussets and finish welding it up.

What do ya'll think so far? What should I paint it with?

Should have pics of the finished final project in about 2 weeks, it'll be that long before I even get to touch it again :( (my truck and tools are about 200 miles away).

Here's the progress pics:

But dang, man, that's stout. I'm not into the prerunner thing, but ya know, each their own, and whether or not I like the style, that's BUILT :D

1/2" plate on the winch? Cool! :pimp:

Well, home is Estill Springs (near Monteagle Mtn), the truck is at a buddy's shop in Kingston Springs (just outside of Nashville), and I'm stuck in Martin (Northwest TN, near Reelfoot Lake) where I go to college (I'm working up here this summer at the Experiment Station).

How much do ya'll think it would cost to have it line-X'ed or Rhino Lined?.... I'm also considering having it hot dipped galvanized, as I should be able to get a pretty good price from a place in Chattanooga and galvanize should be very durable. I just wonder if it would look decent. Opinions?

What do ya'll think about some kind of gray or silver-hammered finish spray paint (like Rustoleum or Hammerite)?

Powder Coat it!

I powdercoated mine, i used to work at a powdercoating shop, so i got a hook up there, powder tech plus in jacksonville florida. but heres a pic
