allright, as some of you saw in the `Off Topic Forum' I'm currently working on building a tech library/crossreference index that'll hopefully help cut down on the sheer number of duplicate and triplicate posts, by providing a fast link to the answers. as an example, 33 inch tires on stock suspension has been asked probably 400 or so times in the last couple weeks, even tho there's a Tire fittament table on the site that gives a pretty good idea of what'll fit what, and what kind of fender hacking needs to be done.

at anyrate, here's the basic index thus far, with a few hot topics that've been requested added to it. I'm trying to work out some details with Steve on what to include, and what not to include in it, as well as what formatt he wants it in.

the goal with this thing is to start with the rudimentry index with links to posts that contain the information. the next phase is to create writeups, and tech files on all the pertinent information, and possibly move it off the forums, and onto its own HTML pages. we'll see what happens. at anyrate, here it is:

The index at this point:

as you can see, I've already linked to the existing tech library where articles already existed, as well as some posts that seem to come up once every other week or so...

let me know what else I've missed either here, Via PM, or via AIM (Ddragggon)

anyone who wants to help with this is more then welcome to jump on it, as I am but 1 man, and not as omnipotent as I wish I were.

The Ddragggon

the only thing i see you left out was Cold Fusion & Black Hole Theory. outside of that, it's all there, AFAIK.

on a serious note, are you looking for articles out in cyberspace to link to? or looking for people to write them?

[/ QUOTE ]Yes. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

a little of both for now. I figgure start with links to get it running, then add the written stuff to it as time becomes available. the goal of this monsterous list, is to provide an extremely powerful resource that'll cut down on the sheer number of re-re-re-double-tripple-reposts of common questions. this of coure goes hand in hand with getting everyone to use the guides when its completed, instead of automaticaly assuming no one else has ever questioned how this works, and skipping the guide.

-Rich

PS, the final guide will include Cross links to Cold fusion, and the blackhole theory... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif may as well get an inside joke going for the whole thing while we can.

You might want to just dig up old posts, if we link to outside sources they can become broken when others move or delete said articles.

I've got maybe three rollcage how to articles that are pretty good and 1 or 2 NP205 articles along with a great article on GM truck facts 67-to about 91 article. Where I have them stored is not very reliable for others to view the articles. I would be happy to share them if we can get them to a reliable host.

Slap them in the knuckle and we can sticky them there.

Edit: what he said ^^^^^^^^^ /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

PS, Imma gonna bed now... its late, work comes tonite around 6 PM... etc.
