So someone on another forum said I should just buy mounts cause I'll do it wrong otherwise.

Oh my Goodrich do they know the gauntlets been throw?!?!

I've got the DIY4x engine mounts from Bender and I'm using them for Plank. They're free, stout and bushed better than originals. The trans crossmember on Bender is far more complicated than whatever Plank will need. Not worried about that either.

I plan on mounting the long tube headers, oil pan, transmission...basically the whole thing together to make sure it will live, without conflict, in the engine bay. Clear steering, dizzy etc etc and fabricate the mounts.

Question: Is there a magic degree to hit with the drivetrain? Engine and trans degree, with the "frame rails" at 0*. Measure the pinion and mirror it? Dunno.

Before I dive headfirst, I'll could use some pointers for a helmet to complete the task :D

Thanks ya'll

I believe the magic fabrication number for custom stuff is 5 degrees down toward the rear.
