Building implosion where I work

This was pretty cool to watch. They worked several weeks getting the building ready to implode, and it was all over in a few seconds. Since then, they've been sorting the debris and recycling most of it. Even the concrete is going through a crusher to be used as a base for construction.

I'd imagine it's pretty awe inspiring live.. lot of power there if it's a big building... now that's what I call cool engineering...

Crap, I put this in the wrong forum. I guess I can't manage more than a couple of tabs at a time in my browser.

They did have a drawing to select the person that got to push the ceremonial plunger. We heard later that it wasn't hooked to anything.

Yes, it is. Lots of projects this summer on campus. It will be a relief for school to start and have things get back to normal.
