OK I am new to the building here. I have a 89 k5 blazer 350 tbi 700r4 np241. I want to know what axles i should go with. 3/4 or 1 ton. I will be running prob 38.5x15 tires. And what exactly is the price difference? And would i have to modify my suspension for the 1 ton's??

Anything bigger than 35's requires 1tons. Big price diff. No suspension mods. Might have to shorten the front driveline. Depending on lift, you will need steering correction.

3/4 ton is 14bolt FF rear and dana 44 Front 1 ton is 14Bolt FF or Dana 60FF Rear and Dana 60 Front Big Pumpkin look behind the front pumpkin on both models and there should be a number like 44F or 60F that tells you right there!

You can kind of build into it also. Do the 14ff in the rear and just do the 8 lug conversion and leave it open up front until you can afford a 60. I would rather have cross over steering first IMO.

not exactly true, but you do have a big ol sub. i would suggest a 14 bolt full floater and an 8 lug conversion in the front. should only cost you a couple hundred bucks depending on tires and wheel selection. strenght is improved considerably for only a small amount of change.
