Have a stock 84 k5 it's got the 305 ci carburated also just scored a GMC suburban 2500 4x4 its 1989 5.7 fuel injection tranny no good but has the 8 lug axcels the engine has about 11000 miles on it direct crate engine from GMC Denver and new headers new wheels tires also 4 inch lift! My ? Is every thing interchangeable as for as axcels engine and will it mount to my 700r tranny ? I want to make my k5 bigger and badder?

You will have to drill a hole in the firewall on your 84 for the computer. Front springs are a direct swap. The rear springs for the suburban are probably 56" and can be swapped to the k5 with some work.

The 700R4 will bolt up to your 350, you just may need the kickdown cable brackets if they got tossed.

Also, you'll have to think of something to convert fuel pump from carb to TBI. The TBI pump is in the tank and I don't think the tanks swap. The K5's will be in rear between the rails and I think the burb's runs along the framerail. Also will need to swap/hack TBI fuel lines and use the headers from the TBI motor since they should have the O2 sensor, although you probably were gonna use the headers anyway.

Overall, not a bad swap.
