building your own tube bender

SO has anyone on here built thier own tube bender? Here are some guys selling plans on e-bay:

I think the first one is the one using Pro-Tools dies, don't know about the second. Looks like a good way to save $300.

I think I like the looks of the first one better. The dies are always the high stuff.

There is no way I would buy one. They are almost as much as the "real" ones. But if you built it yourself from scrap it would be cheep. The auctions I was looking at were for plans. I agree the 1st one looks better.
