Built Tahoes?

I liked the interior space of my K5 before I totaled it, but the WB is too short. It ocurred to me that a tahoe on one tons and 38" Military tires like my K5 would be perfect for a family street and trail truck.

So let's see some Thanks.

i just sold mine:
97 tahoe w/sas dana 60/14 bolt and 42's..also ran 38 radials.
4 doors..loved it.great to drive and like a tank in the mud.
just go with a 4l80e trans instead of the 4l60e.
wish i never sold it.but trying to build my k5 now.ive got a 98 burban
and set of rockwells sitting idle inthe back...l

I would build a 3/4 ton burb instead. Mainly cause you start with teh 4l80e and 14bolt rear. Less stuff to swap to get to 3/4 or 1 ton status.

Burb is a no go. Overhang will get you every time.
