bumper hieght with a lift kit?

In WA I'm allowed by law to lift the K5 but the lower edge of the bumper must be the following.

-GVWR 4500lbs and under
front bumper height 24" maximum
rear bumper height 26" maximum
-GVWR 4501-7500lbs
front bumper height 27" maximum
rear bumper height 29" maximum
-GVWR 7501-10000lbs
front bumper height 28" maximum
rear bumper height 30" maximum

I believe my 78 K5 has a GVWR 6200.


What is the largest lift kit I could legally put on for a K5?

Maximum bumper height - current bumper height = amount of lift
Wanted tire size - current tire size / 2 = height added to lift


unless you drop your bumpers some
or do a small lift, plus body lift, and keep the bumpers @ stock location

fab up a bumper and make it taller so you can lift it higher if you are concerned.

My concern is with insurance. If I were to hit someone the insurance company could say I was driving an illegal vehicle.
