I figured since my new bumpers will be arriving soon I would replace them with some grade 8 stuff. Does anyone know off the top of their head (or have a book) with the size/length bolts I will need...front and rear??

thanks

This is my morning time. Working the graveyard shift is slightly boring. I'll see if I can come up with some better questions tomorrow night /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I see you like the pic I made /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Most of the OE bumper bolt holes will use a 1/2 thread (3/4 head) The tow hook bolt holes and the oval holes should be for a 5/8 thread (15/16 head) 1.25" is long enough usually with lock washers and flat washers.
hope this helps.
Oh, the stock shackle bolts are 7/16 which is nowhere nere large enough for my wheeling style (this is my current rant on GM engineers)

I won't be using pretty chrome bumper bolts. I was actually looking for the mounting bolts for the frame. These are 4x4 iron & Smitybilt bumpers
Thanks though
