When the PO installed a 3" body lift, he cut the front frame rails off in order to raise the bumper. I now need to lower it back to it's original position so I can put a winch on. Am I going to have any problems? Do I need to have new front tabs welded on? TIA, ERIK (btw warn 8274 winch}

this one is going to require some good skills to do correctly. best plate the back side also when moving them back down to the factory spot. give me your email and i will send you some pics of what i did to fix my torn out holes in my frame ends.

What year is is? Are you sure they were cut, or are they the kind that will un bolt? Cause i know in like 85 or somthing they had it where you could unbolt the very front most 5ish inches of the frame.

81-up the front horns are cut off diagonally from factory, looks like a hack job but its not, heh, are same as 73-80 just round part of horns are hacked off, 81-up bumpers dont bolt directly to frame rails like earlier ones did, its easy to convert from to to either way with a little welding so you can install either style bumper, i think i still have some pics stashed away soemwhere if this being done, its real easy,

what year and front or back are we talking ?
