This one is pretty damn cool. Thanks to Tony for the idea. Tweaker broke an inner shaft right at the splines in the carrier, The stub was stuck in there. We tried the magnet and that didn't work. Didn't want to take off the cover or take the otherside apart, so00...we slid a piece of pvc into the tube till it was through the seal. Then stuck a smaller piece of metal pipe through the PVC till it was touching the end of the broken stub. Then hooked up the ready welder and arcd it on the end of the metal pipe hoping it would arc the opposite end to the broken stub inside the carrier. It worked. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You live in the same state as Tellico and you're complaining that there's nowhere to wheel?

The video camera used is a Sony DCR-TRV340 Digital 8 Handycam. I use a Firewire card and cable to capture the video, and the software is Ulead VideoStudio 5.0 DV. It came with the Firewire card so I have no idea what it costs or if you can even get it anywhere. Pinnacle Studio 8 is good program too. No idea what the camera costs, my gramps won it in some raffle. He never uses it, so it's pretty much mine. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif Firewire card was like $15 on Ebay. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Mad Max is frickin awesome! Kieth let me wheel it from Spider Lake back out to Loon Lake on the 'Con a few months back, and let me run it through the Mini 'Con this weekend. You can try pretty much any line you want. Even the impossible ones just for fun, and nothing breaks.
Specs-
D70's front w/lockright and rear w/Detriot w/4.56
Toy 20r motor
Toy tranny
Reciever tube square drive shafts. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Dual toy cases Inchworm or Marlin or something gears...Toy stuff is wierd. Works out to a 190:1 crawl ratio. Doubled all the way down is almost too low. On the 'Con I used 2nd and 3rd gear in the tranny most of the time. 1st only when something crazy came up. On the Mini 'Con used the 190:1, mostly cause I had never driven the Mini 'Con before and wanted to concentrate on driving. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I have a vid clip of my Mini 'Con run uploading now, but it's 90+mb so it's taking awhile. I'll post it up when its done. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif

Hafta wait til I get off work to download that one. Almost have enough to burn a CD /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
