Curious if anyone has found bungees that hold up well over time in the sunlight?

My best luck so far has been going to the truck stop and getting black braided ones with gold metal hooks. I use them on my ladder racks and they have lasted years longer than the colored ones from the box stores.

Have 2 of these in my dune buggy love them.
I purchased 9/17. The buggy is stored in side so the only sun they see are on outings.

I wish I would have taken a picture of the last bungee I threw away. It looked like this with just 2 little cords intact.

I find hot/dry/UV just flat out ruins. if anyone does find some that last, I'm interested... otherwise- maybe i should buy a bunch of metal springs and put hooks on them

Or consider them a wear item and inspect/replace accordingly.

Goldline made in the USA!

A customer of mine makes these. They are in a lot of the big box stores, but made right here in Jersey. We went on a tour of their factory and it was pretty sweet. They make a lot of different stuff that comes in handy, especially for locking down stuff in a truck.

I have 2 of these, and are 5 years old, use them in my dune buggy to hold all my stuff in the back. Work great keep everything tight, even when all the wheels leave the ground.

Buy them here, Amazon is $36 these guys are $12, and fellow Manx Club members
