I know that the 465 is semi rare in burbs. But I have no idea what the burbs run an "average" for autos. What do they run mostly for trans/xfer case combos? I am looking for a 700/208 combo. How common was that in the burbs? Also I would like to know what they run most often so I have an idea of what I may find when looking for my burb project truck. I also need a 400/205 for my 82 but I don't imagine one of those setups would just pop up in the deal of the century project burb I am bound to find. :D Thanks for your help :waytogo:

For the years you've been saying that you'd like to find (80's) your going to find a 700/208 combo

For real?? :saweet: :saweet: That's very good news to me. :D That would mean 2 parts less I would ahve to source, and possibly less things to part out before the project completion :waytogo: Now I need to figure out the spring perch width on the D70. I am assuming it is the same as the ton version 14ff but I do not know much about all that :dunno: I really can't wait to have the $$ to get the burb to start on. I'm getting anxious to get my 1st burb :waytogo:

Cool. So I will either get a 700 or a 350. I don;t have much use for the 350 though. Would the 208 behind the th350 bolt right up to the 700 in the event I end up with what I don;t want?

That I have no idea on as I've never owned a 700 or a 208 lol post up in the garage and ask :D

not sure of the years but most of the 3/4 tons have the th400/208 or 241 combo and in 91' the 3/4 tons had the 4l80e not sure of the transfer case but probably 241. my 90' 3/4 ton has the th400/241.

Cool. thanks. I will most likely be finding a mid 80's. I believe that's what the deal of the century will be when I find my project burb. I doubt I will find a 90/91 for $500ish. Although the other day I saw a 95 4x4 burb for $650. Could have ben a typo but ya never know. :dunno:

Just remember, anything newer than 91 (92 - present) the front will be IFS

:waytogo: Yup yup! That's why I saw it and said; "nice deal for someone" and moved on :D I'm hooked on the mid 80's really  nothing but the best for me :D

Only some 91 3/4 tons cames with the 4L80E. Only the burbs with the 8600 GVWR had the 4L80E and not the 700. I have yet to see one that didnt have it though so I guess the lighter duty 3/4 tons are rare.
