Oh it got completed alright!
I drove it for 3 months. Went on all the trails that stopped (and the one that nearly destroyed) my brown truck, and defeated them all. And they were all extra goopy because of the warm winter.
I got pulled over once by an interested cop. He just asked me how fun it was to drive.
And then just last winter I went out in the big snow storm and pulled people from ditches. And then I went into one, and broke the driverside axleshaft. A kind old man, in a big ol' tractor pulled me out the next day, hahaha. Lloyd I think his name was...
I had some good memories in that truck. Most were of building it, but some of wheeling it too.

He said he pulled the rear axle. No scrap find for you!

Jay, I am not entirely sure where it went. I got Bernies Auto Parts to take it away.
But it still has the lift spings on it though.... One is removed but in the sub, the other three are still on there.
The only thing left from the truck is the 700R4/NP241, and the front driveshaft.
I recycled the front end (rad support, inner and outer fenders, hood, grill and assorted bits),the doors, rear axle, engine, and exhaust. They all went onto a lesser qualified vehicle. But the new truck is still pretty cool. I'm thinking of it as a Chevy bank account. I'm saving up parts for my next good build up.
Oh I also nabbed the front discs, and calipers so I can do a rear disc brake swap... eventually.

I was about to ask you if you had any interest in a 14BSF!![]()
