I thought I would share some pics of my mounts for the roof rack. They were bent to conform to the contour of the burb's roof. I use fender washers on the inside to ensure that the bolts don't pull through. I applied a liberal amount of marine sealer/adhesive between the mounts and the roof and have had absolutely no problems with leaks.

huh not bad!

with that much surface area you will be able to hold a ton!!

i just had to simple racks on mine mounted to plates (1 1/2"x5") installed by the po, and not even on the braces, the only time i dented the roof i had 5 4x sheets of plywood, 25 4x8 of drywall, and a good 50 studs, even then it wasn't that bad.

so no worrys for you!

you make the rack or buy it?

I bought it from a guy who built it for his burb just before he totalled it. Paid two bills for it. A good deal considering he showed me a receipt for the brackets totalling $125.
