I'm in the middle of changing the body bushings and adding the ord 1" pucks. I have everything loose but the two in the back . I'm about to drop the tank and see if I can figure out what bracket needs to be cut and the tailgate springs ? Do I need to un bolt these? Last question do the pucks go between the body and the bushings or between the frame and bushings? I'm also glad to report no captured nuts were spun lol. Im hoping to get this done today and do shocks and springs tomorrow.

I'm thinking I don't need to drop the tank now ? I have access holes?

IIRC the rear mounts are multiple pieces, and you have to get the tank out of the way to remove part of it. It's been a long time, but I recall some sort of weird "U" shaped piece that captures a piece of rubber that is inside the frame rail, which is too big to remove with the tank in place.

This has a pic of the rear piece http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/csb/full.aspx?Page=17 but what I recall was different than that, it was more substantial. Probably so they could assemble the body to the rolling chassis with the tank in place.

The tank is out and found those brackets, now comes the fun stuff lifting the body and installing the pucks and bushings.

Done ! Minus the tank re install looks life a 2" lift my other bushings were shot! Now I got to change the springs and shocks.

pucks are against the body right? I don't remember removing the gate springs. I used them until I swapped tailgates.

I got to do my 3" tough country lift tomorrow today I'm going to sit in the woods and wait on bambi's grandfather lol

It wasn't too bad a job , I did it solo and it took all freaking day . I recruited help for the spring swap. I am taking advantage of all this out of town company lol

Actually put about 100 miles on it today and wow what a difference it does not lean into the turns any more . I should have done this year's ago!

cool. I need to do both of my 'burbs...sounds like fun...
