Help decide, '78 Blazer w/D60 and 14FF???

I have the opportunity to buy a 1978 Blazer that is pretty much stock with rust for $3700.00 asking price. 350/350/203 he said. Only reason to consider is it has a Dana 60 up front, 14FF rear and new 39 TSLs, 4.56s and rear locker. Might go look at it tomorrow. :D

What would ya offer and would anyone even consider getting it?

I Have a '75 I would swap the running gear to.:cool1:

Well, my rusty truck with a 350/700/241 combo cost $1,600 but the drivetrain is in excellent shape. I have a D60 trac-lok, 14BFF detroit 4.56 combo that I got for $1,600 also in excellent condition, new TSL 39's and rims would probably cost you around $1k. Finally, a decent lift kit and crossover setup is probably going to run me about $1,500. So, when it comes out, I'll have about $6,000 in mine. $3,700 for that running gear and those tires is a pretty good deal. I'd take him up on it if everything is in good shape.

Thanks mikey_d05

Anyone else?

Gonna have to decide tomorrow and then convince the wife if it's yes.

Well, didn't go for it. Couldn't see spending that much on another Blazer just for the axles and tires.
