Where can I find some D44 wheel hubs? not the Warns or whatever.. I need the actual hub the bearings go in. I think mine are beat up pretty good and are from a '72... So I'd like to get some for a '73+ D44. (not sure if there is a difference or not). But the only place I found is NAPA for $81.49ea.

Is a hub for a '70 D44 the same as a say... '77 D44?

Well I was on NAPA's website and found 2 different part #'s for Hubs for D44's. They have them labeled "early" and "late" design. 77 seems to be the conversion year b/c it has both listed. 78+ has the late design. and 76- have the early design listed. but for '72 they don't list anything. WTF. is there a website that has tons of D44 guru info? I could sure use it.

That would be the big/small bearing. You had the small stock.

Ah! Let there be light. I'll know D44's inside & out soon enough. I'm running Timken set 37/set 45 bearings.

Yep, you need the early "1st design" series bearing hubs.

I think I'm gonna upgrade to the bigger bearing set up. what exactly is involved... new hubs.. bearing(s) obviously. what about the spindle and stuff?

Yep, get some "2nd design" or later series spindles and you're set. Oh yeah, get the newer bearing hubs, too. Backing plates don't matter.
