Probably going to buy a 90 Burb. Is there any common problems to look for before I buy?

Thanks in advance.

trans......even if treated right most of their life, just pulling around the weight of the Burb puts extra stress on them. and of course the 10bolt.

get a 3/4 ton, axles/trans are way more up to the burb weight.

That, and if you get a 91 3/4 ton, it has the 4l80E trans in it, instead of the th400, which gives you an awesome trans with overdrive.

Really? I've never seen that. Definitely scrutinize a 700R4 in a Burb, and watch the rear most cross member ESPECIALLY if it has a tailgate, and the tailgate for rust.

Yep, 1/2 tons have the 700R4, but 3/4's have the TH400 through '90, and '91 got the 4L80E. If you're thinking 3/4, I'd hold out for a '91 with the OD.

i had a 90 suburban 3/4ton with a 10"lift and 38"swampers and never had any problems. And it went through weekly abuse off-road and on-road. lol it was my DD when i was 16 so it got alot of abuse.:D
