im going to buy a grinder and im wondering if you guys could tell me what to look for when buying one, this is going to be for minor body work mostly (i.e. fender trimming, rust removal) and i wanted to know if these that im currently looking at will work or if i need something more extreme or if i could get away with something cheaper(i prefer not to but if its a really good deal ill go with it)

im currently looking at these:

I three Makita's, Two older 4 in and the second one listed, the 4 1/2 in. I have abused the crap out of them for years and they keep on running. My vote is Makita period. I just refuse to buy Harbor Freight power tools. If thats your budget I totally understand, its better then nothing I suppose, but if you can buy the better tool why not.

Yea another vote for Makita. All my buddies have dewalts and they seem good though. Dont forget to figure out whether you like the paddle trigger or an actual trigger better.

ended up getting the 4 1/2 10 amp dewalt, it was on sale for 70 instead of 90 so i figure thatl work just fine, plus its got a 3 year warranty and i used to work at the home depot i go to so i know everyone there (especially the head cashiers and front end supervisor) so theyll pretty much let me return whatever i want. plus i learned all the tricks to returning whatever you want while working there :D

after i fix the starter and get it to my place imgonna cut up some fenders this weekend and will start my 75 build thread

Good choice, One deep drawer in my roll-away is full of nothing but yellow...I've also got a cabinet in my service truck...again all yellow items.

I run all yellow tools, my dad is partial to Milwaukee, and we are building a Bosch setup for one of our shops. I am quite impressed with Bosch!

All in all... you can't beat the HF $11 grinder...I'll admit, I have one and it works fine too.
